WHERE'S THE
BUTTERFLY?
Julie's portrait is an example of a spontaneous pose and
expression that simply couldn't happen sitting for the artist.
The enchantment of this little girl inspired me to paint her
with a flowered vine behind her and the butterfly, just out of
sight. |

THE CHRISTENING
The christening is a time to be remembered forever. I spent
extra time recreating the beautiful christening gown that was an
heirloom and the pearls that were her grandmothers. |

DESTINation
These three brothers are strolling down the beach in Destin, FL.
I painted their portrait with a late evening sun in mind, making
their skin glow and lighting up their white outfits. It is a
casual painting perfect for the family or game room. |

TWICE BLEST
These engaging twin brothers were photographed in their home
with a very dark background. I visualized the boys in a garden
by a stream, setting off their white vintage outfits. I wanted to
create a bit of fantasy and complexity for the eye. As a
painter, I add additional visual stimulation to keep the image
fresh and filled with discovery. |

SISTERS ARE
FOREVER
The mother of these two little girls loved the serious innocence
of their expression and pose. Pale pinks and ivory hues bring
softness and harmony to this oil portrait. |
 |
SASSY
I painted SASSY twice; once for grandparents and once for
parents who are all master photographers. Deep background hues
and rich details of the parlor were painted in keeping with
classic Renaissance paintings. Her face and the fabric of her
dress are made to glow with golden light. |
 |
VICTORIAN CHARM
This classic pose is perfect for a young lady. The
rich outdoor background gives depth to the portrait and conveys
the complexity developing within this young lady. The barefoot
innocence of a young girl in her white linen gown, trimmed in
pink satin, tells a timeless story of our own future growing up
before us. |

THE TEA PARTY
Celeste is all dressed up for a tea party. With large dark eyes
and honey blond hair, she is already irresistible. My focus is
to bring out all the personality, her true nature, and give a
two-dimensional painting a life of it's own. |
